Privacy policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
obKoni Services & Consulting (“obKoni”, “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on obkoni.com, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Person in charge
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at obKoni is [title to be completed]. You can reach them at info@obkoni.com, with “Privacy” in the subject line, or at +1 438 799 4154.
2. Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to send us:
- through the contact form: your name, your email, your organization (optional), the topic you choose and your message;
- by email or phone: the information contained in your exchanges with us.
The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies, no analytics tool and no tracker. Fonts are served by our own site.
As with any website, our host processes your IP address and technical browsing data to display pages and protect the site.
3. Why we use it
We use your information only to answer your request and, if you wish, to follow up on it. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
By ticking the consent box on the form, you agree to this use. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.
4. Contact form and anti-robot protection
The contact form relies on two service providers:
- Web3Forms delivers your message to our info@obkoni.com mailbox. Its servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services. We set the retention of your messages at Web3Forms to the shortest period available, 7 days.
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) checks that the form is filled in by a person and not a robot. hCaptcha processes your IP address, data about your browser and your interaction with the checkbox, in the United States. It is only loaded when you start filling in the form: a visitor who does not use it sends nothing to hCaptcha.
Before sending, the form removes invisible or malicious characters and limits the length of each field. No file can be attached.
If you prefer not to use these services, write to us directly at info@obkoni.com.
5. Service providers and transfers outside Quebec
We entrust some processing to service providers, bound by contract, who may only use your information to provide their services to us:
- Google (Firebase Hosting): website hosting;
- Web3Forms: delivery of form messages;
- hCaptcha: anti-robot protection for the form;
- [provider of the info@obkoni.com mailbox, to be completed]: receiving and storing our email.
Some of these providers process information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before sharing information with them, we carry out a privacy impact assessment, as required by section 17 of Law 25, to make sure your information receives adequate protection.
6. Retention
- Messages at Web3Forms: 7 days.
- Requests received in our mailbox: 24 months after the last exchange, unless a business relationship follows.
At the end of these periods, the information is destroyed or anonymized.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, with strict security headers that only allow the services named above. Access to our accounts is protected by multi-factor authentication and limited to the people who need it.
8. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- find out whether we hold information about you and access it;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent or ask for its deletion;
- receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Write to info@obkoni.com (subject “Privacy”). We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
9. Confidentiality incidents
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, and we keep a register of incidents.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
